Signing Up for Local Pegs

Welcome to Local Pegs! We're excited to have you join our community. Signing up for an account is quick and easy, whether you're using our app or website. Follow these simple steps to get started:


From our App

  1. Select Sign Up: Open the Local Pegs app and tap the 'Sign Up' tab located in the center of the screen. Select the option to sign up as a business owner. If you are a charity or a club looking to join, select the third option, 'Join for your charity or club.'
  1. Select Your Community: Choose your community from the options provided. This is typically where your business operates and where you'll be using the platform.
  1. Provide Your Details: Fill out the registration form with some basic personal information, including your name, email address, password, date of birth, and residential address. You'll also need to enter a code sent to your phone to confirm your identity.
    Since you are bringing your business onboard, you'll also need to add your legal business name and business trading name. Charities and clubs are also asked to provide additional information during registration. This helps us ensure the integrity of the Local Pegs app and maintain a secure community for all users.
  1. Verify Your Email: Check your email inbox for a verification message from Local Pegs. Click on the verification button 'Verify Now' provided within to confirm your email address and verify your account. Please note that email verification is required to make withdrawals.
  1. Wait for approval: As part of our security process and commitment to keeping the app community-based, your account will undergo a validation check by the Pegs team. Some features such as the terminal will be inaccessible until your account has been approved. Use this time to set up your profile and adjust your discounts, as once you're approved, your business will be visible to the Pegs community within the app.
    Once your account has been approved, you will receive a confirmation email from the Pegs team congratulating your acceptance.
  1. Start Transacting: Congratulations! You're now a member of the Local Pegs community and can start transacting with the community. Start exploring all the features and benefits available to you. If you haven't already, don't forget to set up your profile with a business description, a banner and profile image, your business website and address to help users better understand what you sell.

From the Merchant Dashboard

The merchant dashboard will provide businesses with a browser experience from which you can set up your account from your desk. Upon signing up, you will also be walked thru the dashboard and its capabilities as well as learn about core features of the app. Completion of this onboarding will unlock all the features of the app which will give you the power to get up and running more quickly.

The merchant dashboard will be a functional tool allowing businesses to access reports, insights, as well as handle administrative tasks.

The merchant dashboard will be accessible by simply clicking the login button on our website.

FAQs

How long will it take for my account to be approved? Local Pegs aims to confirm the authenticity of your account within 1-3 business days. During this time, some features may be inaccessible for security purposes.

What if I don't receive the verification email? If you don't receive the verification email within a few minutes, please check your spam or junk folder. If you still can't find it, contact our support team at info@localpegs.com.au for assistance.

Is there a cost to sign up for Local Pegs? No, signing up for Local Pegs is entirely free for all users, including businesses, charities, and individuals.

Can anyone using Local Pegs get discounts? This will depend on your configuration of offers. Local Pegs primarily focuses on connecting users with businesses and events in their local area, although users can still utilise the platform while traveling or exploring different regions.

However, discounts are applied automatically based on a user's location meaning you don't need to worry about asking the user where they are from.

If you set a visitor discount, anyone who is not also from the community you chose during sign up, will be tagged as a visitor. If you wish to offer discounts specific to certain locations, you can also do this within the app, and these will also be applied automatically, in the same way.
