How to Post from Your Business Account

The post function on Local Pegs allows you to share updates, promotions, and more with your customers. Here's how to create a post:

Posting from the Mobile App

  1. Access the Post Tab: Open the Local Pegs app and navigate to the 'Posts' tab from the bottom navigation.
  1. Create a New Post: Tap the + icon to create a new post and start editing your update.
  1. Capture or Upload a Photo: Tap the image icon in the center of the screen. Then choose to either take a photo using your camera or upload an image from your library.
  1. Add a Caption: Write a caption to accompany your post. You can include details about promotions, events, or anything else you'd like to share with your local customer base.
  1. Confirm and Post Your Update: Choose to notify your followers by toggling on your social option. This will send out a device notification to all your locals who've followed you within the Local Pegs app. Choose wisely when you toggle this on as you only get 1 push notification per day - no spamming your customers; timing is key!
  1. Confirm and Post Your Update: Once you've added your photo and caption, tap the checkmark in the upper right corner to confirm your post. From the popup, select 'Post' if it's ready or 'Cancel' to continue editing.

How to Post from Your Dashboard

If you prefer to curate your post from the Local Pegs dashboard accessed via a browser, follow these steps:

  1. Login to Your Account: Using your preferred web browser, navigate to the Local Pegs website and log in to your account with your credentials.
  1. Access Your Profile: Once logged in, navigate to your 'Profile' from the left-side navigation panel of the dashboard.
  1. Create a New Post: To start crafting your post, simply start typing in the section beneath your business banner image (where it says, 'Share what you are thinking here...'). You can include details about promotions, events, or anything else you'd like to share with your local customer base.
  1. Upload a Photo: To add a photo, click the button that says 'Image' and select your photo from your desktop. If you want to change the photo, just click 'Image' again.
  1. Post Your Update: Once you've added your photo and caption and are happy with your content, simply click 'Post'!
