Managing Staff Access with Local Pegs

Within the Local Pegs app, businesses have the ability to set up specific staff members and provide them with appropriate access to the platform.

This guide provides a straightforward approach to adding and removing staff members within the Local Pegs app, empowering businesses to manage their team effectively and securely.


How to Add Staff Members from the Mobile App

  1. Access the Terminal: Open the Local Pegs app and navigate to the Terminal.
  1. Navigate to Staff Settings: In the Terminal, locate the people icon situated to the left of the padlock icon in the upper right corner. Tap on this icon to access staff settings.
  1. Add Staff Members: Within the staff settings, you'll see an option to add specific staff members. Click on 'Add,' then enter the name of the staff member you wish to add and click 'Add' again. Each staff member will be assigned a randomized code for identification purposes.
  1. Change PIN (Optional): To change a staff member's PIN, click on the plus icon located beneath their name. Then, select 'Change PIN' and enter the new PIN. This ensures enhanced security and personalized access for each staff member.
  1. Adjust Access Permissions: You can now customize the access permissions for each staff member. Set the app to only allow access to the Terminal and activity functions as needed. This ensures that staff members have access to the necessary tools while maintaining security and control.

How to Remove Staff Access

If you need to remove staff access within the Local Pegs app, follow these steps:

  1. Access Staff Settings: Navigate to the Terminal in the Local Pegs app and tap on the people icon located to the left of the padlock icon in the upper right corner. This will take you to the staff settings.
  1. Select Staff Member: Once in the staff settings, find the staff member whose access you wish to remove. Tap on the + icon located beneath their name.
  1. Select 'Delete': A menu will appear with options. Select 'Delete' to remove this staff member's access. This action will remove the staff member's PIN code and revoke their access to the Terminal.

By following these steps, you can easily remove staff access within the Local Pegs app, ensuring that only authorized personnel have access to your admin level functionality.

How to Manage Staff Members from Your Dashboard

If you prefer managing staff members from the Local Pegs dashboard accessed via a browser, follow these steps:

  1. Login to Your Account: Using your preferred web browser, navigate to the Local Pegs website and log in to your account with your credentials.
  1. Access Staff Settings: Once logged in, locate the 'Staff' option from the left-side navigation panel of the dashboard. Click on 'Staff' to access staff management settings.
  1. Add a Staff Member: Within the staff management settings, click on the 'Add Staff' button. A form will appear where you can enter the name of the staff member you wish to add. Once entered, click 'Save' to add the staff member to your team.
  1. Allocation of Staff Code: Upon saving, a unique staff code will be automatically allocated to the new staff member for identification purposes. You'll see the new staff member you just created in the list.
  1. View or Modify PIN: To view the PIN code assigned to a staff member, click on the eye icon in the header row. If you need to change the PIN or deactivate a staff member, click on the three vertical dots next to their name. From the dropdown menu, select the appropriate option — either 'Change PIN' or 'Deactivate.'
  1. Confirm Deletion: When you select 'Deactivate', you will see a pop-up indicating that this action will revoke the staff member's access to the Terminal.
  1. View Inactive Staff: If you wish to view previous staff members, select 'Inactive' from the toggle under 'Staff'. You'll now be seeing a list of inactive or previous staff. To reactivate any, select the three dots next to their name - then choose 'Reactivate'. This will reinstate their access to the Terminal.

By following these steps, you can efficiently manage staff members from the Local Pegs dashboard accessed via a browser, ensuring smooth operations and secure access control for your business.
